I feel the restaurant really lets this property down, room service menu is so bad for a 5 star hotel, the restaurant food is bad breakfast and dinner is poor for this quality of hotel. They need to address this

Advieh Restaurant & Bar is a literally a hatted restaurant. It is the only hatted hotel restaurant in New Zealand, has won many other awards and generally gets excellent feedback for breakfast and dinner.

I had a wonderful stay at Intercontinental Auckland. The location is right on Queen Street and the view of the Harbour is beautiful. You can walk to shopping and restaurants within 1-2 minutes. The rooms were super clean, large bathrooms and very comfortable beds.
The entire staff was an even better surprise. Everyone was so helpful and kind. The concierge helped set up in room massages for us after 24 hrs of traveling. The ladies who helped check us in were so fun and nice. And had great recommendations for nearby food options. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff.

Excellent location. Staff was genuine and caring for the most part. Room was very clean. Bathroom was very clean as well with great amenities. Breakfast had good choices and dinner was moderate. Staff service at breakfast and dinner needs a bit more attention. Overall, excellent value and comfort in the Auckland harbor area.

From the moment we stepped into our harborside room and looked outside at the harbor view, we fell in love with IC Auckland. The staff, from front desk to lounge, matched the warmth of the place. The location is ideal, whether to take a ferry, or Uber, or the public transport. The lounge was very relaxing and the staff were always courteous, attentive, prompt, and ever-smiling. We had a wonderful time here.

Loved this hotel! The rooms were so large and perfectly appointed with everything one could need.
The towels were plentiful and large. The shower was excellent.
The pillows were fluffy and bed was SO comfortable.
The view of the harbor was excellent! The breakfast was good.
The concierge was excellent at his job and booked us a trip to Hobbiton which was HUGE fun & a winner!

The theme of Advieh Restaurant & Bar is New Zealand's best produce with the flavours of the Middle East and Mediterranean but we also have a number of amazing/award winning restaurants within Commercial Bay, I can recommend Ahi, Origine, Canting and Rodd & Gunn's Lodge Bar if you are looking to mix it up on your next visit.
