Yes, I recommend this property.
We went to Chicago for a family Spring Break getaway, so there were two adults and two kids (ages 16 and 11). Incredible location in the heart of the Magnificent Mile in Chicago. The staff was super friendly (especially the doorman), the pool was incredible and we had an amazing view of downtown from our room.
My only complaint is that I wish they had rooms that had two queen beds instead of two double beds. The room was plenty big enough to have queen beds, so the sleeping arrangements were a little tight. But other than that, it was awesome! Highly recommend!

I enjoyed several wonderful days at the Intercontinental. It was the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and all the staff were amazing! I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. The location is perfect for enjoying everything Chicago has to offer. I will definitely stay there again!

I chose this hotel because of its long history, great location, recent renovations, and reasonable price. The doorman and front desk staff provided excellent service, and as a member, I was pleasantly surprised to receive two complimentary bottles of water each day.
However, the room with two beds was quite small, with no desk for using a laptop, and the air conditioning was very noisy. The worst part of the stay happened on the second morning. Despite having the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, housekeeping knocked and even attempted to enter the room before 9 AM. I had been struggling with insomnia and had only fallen asleep shortly before that, so I was abruptly awakened and had to shout to stop them from coming in. After that, I couldn’t get back to sleep.
It was incredibly disappointing to encounter such a basic mistake at a high-end hotel like InterContinental. If the hotel is so eager to rush guests out, then I’ll gladly choose not to stay here again—and I’ll be warning my friends to avoid this hotel as well.

The bell staff was not helpful. Unwilling to offload luggage from vehicle and load them I
On to luggage cart. MJ Steakhouse hostess and host were unpleasant and unfriendly feel unwelcomed. However, server and busser were great. Continuous room key problems. 4 of the 5 days needed to have keys rekeyed. While ftont desk personnel was helpful but running back-and-forth 12 times for room key problems in one stay just very frustrating.

Yes, I recommend this property.
The room and bathroom were beautifully appointed and the bed provided the best sleep I have had in a while. The staff were very friendly. The location was ideal for a first trip to Chicago, easy walking distance to the main downtown sites and easy car ride elsewhere.
